When we co-create, life becomes art

Stages, crews and timelines holding quietly in the background, so the night can do what nights do.

Who this is for

Festivals and events that want to create magic together and need real professionals on hand to make it happen. People who understand that when things run smoothly and seamlessly, the artists get to shine, the crowd stays happy, the festival makes money and the whole magical landscape gets a little better every season.

What it looks like in practice

Proper preparation is the foundation for everything
Scheduling, sourcing, getting everything in place before anyone arrives on site. The unglamorous groundwork that decides whether the weekend runs smoothly or falls apart by Saturday afternoon.

Taking care of the crew
This is where most of the real work lives. Matching people to roles they'll actually enjoy, not just roles that need filling. If someone wants to work alongside their partner, I try to make that happen. If someone's ready for more responsibility, I give it to them. If someone's newer, I find them something they can succeed at without ever feeling lesser for it. Clear instructions, honest scheduling and the hard conversations, with production when a volunteer needs protecting and with a volunteer when something needs to change, handled without ever putting them down. A crew that feels carried by the systems and the people running them is a crew that shows up loyal, fed, warm and glad to be there.

Running the floor
Knowing which moving parts matter right now and which can wait. Knowing exactly who to call. Solving the small fires and the large ones in the moment, with calm resolve, no matter what shit hits which fan. Because nobody on site performs well around panic, least of all volunteers who are giving their time for free.

How I work

More than twenty seasons of running areas and teams. I understand how festivals work, how people work, how systems work and I take full ownership of all of it. Give me the chaos, I'll make it work.

Captain by day, pirate by night.

What you get

Stages, crews, artists and timelines held by someone who's done this many times before. Volunteers who are happy, well briefed and looked after, not just present. A production team that hears from me before a small problem becomes a big one. Someone who understands the power of staying calm, so everyone around them can too.

Rate

Cultural, non-profit and community work is priced accordingly, at €49 per hour. Day rates and full production packages on request. Terms apply. Read up on them here.
